WBC PEAR MATURITY - 31st JANUARY 2018
With the recent change in weather now is the time to increase WBC harvest volumes especially in earlier regions of the GV. The maturity is no longer suited for Long Term storage and export depending on travel destination. Pressures indicate we are at the bottom end of pressures for Medium term storage.
Every block has differing pressure levels depending on soil type and tree health. Growers need to manage harvest and storage accordingly. Higher sugar and lower pressure blocks need to go to market and harder green with lower sugar need to go in storage or for export.
