Comparisons of fruit fly population intensity, as measured by male-targeted lure traps, between fruit fly seasons of 2017/18 and 2018/19

The period between December and May is categorised as a typical ‘fruit fly season’ for the Goulburn Murray Valley (GMV) region. During this time the Queensland Fruit Fly (QFF) is at its most mobile due to favourable climatic conditions and the presence of suitable host fruit. These conditions also favour optimal attraction of male QFF to the lure traps used in GMV Fruit Fly Control Program.

Please see the attached report for more information.

This report was produced by Andrew Jessup, Janren Consulting Pty Ltd in conjunction with the Project Coordinator and analysis of regional trapping data supplied by the GMV Fruit Fly Project.
