Current trends in fruit fly populations
A total of 9,693 Qfly were trapped from about 400 traps so far this fruit fly season (starting from 1 July 2020 to 20 February 2021 compared with 4,774 Qfly in the previous season (1 July 2019 to 20 February 2020).
The general trend in Qfly numbers in urban areas is now on the decline as is usual for late
summer.
