At this time there are a number of options for Growers seeking seasonal labour. The Australian Government is supporting access to labour through:
• Working with Seasonal Worker Program Approved Employers to re-deploy SWP workers where work has finished. If Growers are not already an Approved Employer with the Seasonal Worker Program you may be able to source workers through a Labour Hire/Contractor registered as an Approved Employer. • Encouraging the use of Harvest Labour Service (HLS) providers, who are continuing to deliver services including registering job seekers, checking their legal right to work in Australia, and placing those job seekers with working rights into jobs in harvest areas across Australia.
