By 1 July 2016 all employers have to ensure that they are SuperStream compliant when paying their staff superannuation.
SuperStream was introduced by the Federal Government to provide employers with consistent and reliable electronic methods for making contributions and sending information to super funds. As part of the SuperStream obligations, all employers will need to make Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions on behalf of employees by submitting data and payments electronically.
Employers Superannuation SuperStream obligations;
- If you have less than 20 employees you need to do so by 30 June 2016
- If you’re an employer with 20 or more employees you obligations commenced 30 June 2015
