The Fair Work Commission has announced a 2.4% increase to minimum wages. The increase will apply from the “first full pay period” starting on or after 1 July 2016.
For horticulture the base rate of pay for permanent staff changes from $656.90 to $672.70.
For permanent and part-time staff this equates to an hourly rate of $17.70 and the casual rate will change to $22.13.
Wage information will be circulated to FGVL financial members in the 1st week of July.
