The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources is holding a series of stakeholder workshop to discuss agricultural chemicals and veterinary medicines (agvet chemicals) regulation reform and we are keen to maximise industry participation.
From March to August 2015, we spoke to chemical manufacturers, chemical users, governments and community members about a number of reform ideas. The workshops represent the next step in our discussions with stakeholders.
The workshops will be a chance to provide:
• an update the reform process so far and next steps
• a report on what we have heard from stakeholders on the reform ideas
• more details on the proposed reforms, and
• an open forum for discussion.
The focus of the workshops will be a series of discussion papers that provide further details on each of the proposed reform measures. I’ve also attached the agenda for the workshops for your information.

The workshops will start at 10am and finish at 4.30pm.
