The 2022 Fruit Growers Victoria Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16 November 2022 at 11.30am on farm at HW Pogue & Co. Orchards 365 Pogue Road, Toolamba.
This year’s AGM will be held on farm and give growers the opportunity to observer the progress of FGV's project “Which grass is Greener”. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the drought resilience properties of healthy soil through the use of Cover Crops in orchards. It will look at cover crops in three different environments and a main trial site that will monitor the trees under different water management regimes using different cover crops - a canola, lucerne and a native seed mix. This is the initial stages of the project, and we will explain the trial and see the progress after seeding.
A guest speaker who attended this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica will also be in attendance to give a growers prospective on attending the Bangkok event.
For an AGM to proceed, we do require the presence of our members to fulfil the quorum requirements so your attendance would be greatly appreciated.
Lunch will also be provided for guests so for catering purposes, please RSVP to E:
