WAGE REVIEW & SUPER UPDATE 2014

Annual Wage Review 2013–14 

The Fair Work Commission’s Expert Panel have announced their decision for the Annual Wage Review 2013–14. They determined that a 3 per cent increase in modern award minimum wages will apply from 1 July 2014.

This means that the Level 1 award wage for horticultural permanent workers will be $640.90 per week or $16.87 per hour . These rates apply from the first full pay period that starts on or after 1 July.  Click here to go to the Fair Work Ombudsman website for more information.

Superannuation Increase

From 1 July 2014, the Superannuation Guarantee rate increases to 9.5% (from the 9.25% that applies for the 2013/2014 year). This incease is comes into affect at the first pay date on or after 1 July 2014.
