Preparing for a profitable harvest in a pandemic
What are the critical summer orchard activities you can do to enhance productivity, improve fruit quality and maximise profitability under the current pandemic conditions? How would you complete your harvest if there was a local COVID outbreak?
You will hear from:
Nic Finger and Jonathan Brookes from AgFirst who will identify how to get the most efficiency out of your orchard and labour team, and provide practical tools and techniques for planning and monitoring your crop.
A panel of Australian horticulture representatives who are in the middle of a COVID harvest right now, will share lessons learnt and what to consider if a Covid-19 breakout hits your orchard.
The discussion will be facilitated by JustinSmith, Industry Services Manager for APAL. The panel members include
- Ashley Napolitano, General Manager, Sunland Fresh Fruit & Director of Fruit Growers Victoria
- Rachel Mackenzie, Executive Director, Berries Australia
